Our policy for visitors and COVID-19 vaccination

Dec 1, 2021

You must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to enter Motu Research premises (93A and 97 Cuba Street, Wellington).

The New Zealand Government has signalled vaccination is key to moving safely to a less restricted environment. Motu Research recognises vaccination is our strongest form of protection against COVID-19.

Motu Research is committed to protecting the wellbeing, health and safety of our staff and visitors against COVID-19. We have immune compromised staff on our premises. We also want to maintain our institute’s efficiency and continuity, in a safe environment.

If you’d like to enter our premises or attend our offsite events, we’ll need you to:

  • be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 if eligible for the vaccine (double vaccinated, with a booster shot if necessary) – or show your medical vaccine exemption
  • show your vaccine passport, which we will log with the NZ Pass Verifier app
  • record your visit by scanning the NZ COVID Tracer App or complete our visitor register.

Otherwise, feel free to connect with us remotely (via Microsoft Teams / Zoom) or correspond with us by phone or email. We still want to engage with you!

Please don’t enter our premises if you:

  • have COVID-19, cold or flu symptoms
  • aren’t fully vaccinated for COVID-19 (and eligible for the vaccine)
  • don’t wish to disclose your vaccination status
  • don’t want to record your visit.

We continue to closely monitor the evolving pandemic situation, including keeping up to date with measures and controls for eliminating/mitigating COVID-19 risks in the workplace. Our policy may change as the situation changes.

This policy is effective immediately, until further notice.
