Shannon Minehan

Shannon joined Motu in March 2021, after completing a Master of Economics at the University of Otago. For her thesis, Shannon assessed the effects of personality traits on academic performance. Before this, she completed a Bachelor’s degree in politics, philosophy, and economics. During her time at university, Shannon was a research assistant in the Department of Economics.

 

At Motu, Shannon worked on a diverse range of topics including the drivers and consequences of parental leave decisions, effective pathways through education, and the impacts of heat pumps on wellbeing.

 

In her spare time, Shannon enjoys reading, movies, and exploring the outdoors.
