Sylvia Dixon

Sylvia Dixon worked at Motu as a part-time Research Analyst from 2003 to 2006. While at Motu, she contributed to research papers on the Maori income distribution, adult literacy and human capital spillovers. She has an M.A. in Sociology and a B.A. Honours in Economics.

Currently Sylvia works as a Principal Researcher at the Department of Labour, and is seconded to Statistics NZ for research purposes. She is a member of the Linked Employer-Employee Database (LEED) research team. Her recent work has focused on benefit-to-work transitions, employment-to-retirement transitions, and the measurement of labour productivity in LEED.
